Pediatric ENT

A pediatric ENT or pediatric otolaryngologist treats any ear, nose and throat-related issue which is affecting the health of a child. They provide surgical and complex medical treatment for children who are suffering from ear, nose and throat issues. Pediatric ENT use equipment designed especially for children. A pediatric otolaryngologist performs a variety of diagnostics and screening tests in general, such as:

Head neck cancers

  • Causes

The main cause why people develop head and neck cancer is the overconsumption of alcohol and tobacco, both chewed or smoked. However, other factors that may also lead to this type of cancer include sun exposure, radiation to the head and the neck, HPV infection, Epstein-Barr virus infection, Asian ancestry, exposure to airborne asbestos or wood dust. You can also get the disease if you consume a lot of preservative salted food, have Plummer-Vinson syndrome, and poor oral hygiene. 

  • Signs

The common signs you may notice when you are going through head and neck cancer include a sore or lump that does not go away, difficulty in swallowing, sore throat, a change in voice. However, these symptoms differ from person to person, so you can feel otherwise, too. 

  • Treatment

Depending on the location of cancer, our doctors and specialist will conduct various diagnosis, including CT scans, blood or urine tests, MRIs, biopsy, endoscopy, X-rays and CT scans. According to the reports, the treatment plan is set by the doctors.
